WhatsApp is always rolling new features and is rolling out new features and is testing them in beta versions before rolling them out. WABetaInfo, the online platform that tracks the changes and upcoming features on WhatsApp, has spotted multiple additions and alterations to the instant messaging platform for both Android and beta versions of the app and here is a detail on what’s in store:
Registration code verification (iOS beta version 22.214.171.124)
As per the WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp now notifies its users when someone tries to sign in to the second device. The app will notify the user on his/her primary device when someone has requested for a registration code for the account. It is being alleged that this feature will come in handy if and when WhatsApp rolls out the support for using a single WhatsApp account on more than one device.
Besides this new feature, WABetaInfo has reported that there are various design changes including a new Splash Screen, rebranding of the Facebook logo, redesigned cell animations, updated profile/ group icon and more.
Grouped Blocked contacts (Android beta version 2.19.332)
WhatsApp has been spotted with a new feature that will make it easier to keep a track of who all you have blocked on the instant messaging platform. WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp will automatically group your blocked contacts list by clubbing all your business contacts to a different section.
Besides this, WhatsApp now also shows in a chat when you have blocked or unlocked a contact. When this feature will be enabled, every time you block a contact, WhatsApp will add a bubble in the chat reporting “You blocked this contact. Tap to unblock.”. The same happens when you decide to unblock a contact.
